The following volunteer positions are open at Thrifty Kitty:

This position involves greeting and assisting customers, as they come into the store, as well as ringing up, and packaging items as they are sold. The position is a 3 hour shift, once or twice per week, from 11–2 or 2–5.

Are you a creative cat lover who likes to work with your hands? This position involves painting or refinishing furniture to give it a fresh new look before it goes on the sales floor at Thrifty Kitty.

Like to organize and clean? This position is for you! As donated items come into the store, they need to be unpacked, cleaned and sorted. Be the first to see all the new items!

Time Commitment:

Volunteers keep a regular schedule of one or more three hour shifts per week. Shifts are either 11 a.m. - 2 p.m or 2 p.m. - 5 p.m. Your shift(s) will be at the same day and time each week.

Volunteering at Thrifty Kitty is rewarding and fun and is a significant service-based commitment on your part. It is important that those who volunteer take their commitment as seriously as any other regular employment. In order for Thrifty Kitty to keep its doors open, volunteers must arrive on time, on their scheduled days, unless previous arrangements have been made. We are interested in recruiting long-term volunteers. Many of our current volunteers have been with us for years and have completed hundreds of volunteer hours. Please carefully consider your schedule and your ability to commit your time. We require an initial commitment of three continuous months.
