Here are some steps you can take if you've found a cat.
Report a found cat on Petco's Love Lost site. If the cat's owner has reported their lost pet, Petco's photo-matching technology can match the lost and found reports to reunite the cat with their family. Please be sure to include a photo of the cat in your found report for best results.
You can also view a map of all lost and found cats in your neighborhood and contact the pet parent directly if you think you have their cat.
Perhaps the cat belongs to one of your neighbors. Most people only check with their immediate neighbors; however, the cat could belong to any neighbor within a 1-2 block radius of your home.
Many people have been reunited with their posts through social media posts. We recommend posting to local groups on Facebook. In Anacortes, we recommend You Know You're From Anacortes When.... This is a private group, so you'll need to join if you're not already a member.
You can also post on NextDoor, Neighbors, Craigslist, Instagram, Ring and other social outlets.
